Bad-ass USB cables, coupled with the fact my computer is fast, will aid in the quest for data upload. I’m looking to purchase the GoPro soon, in order to work out bugs and devise a protocol. It is likely I will drive solo… Need to be well versed prior to hitting the road! Keep me posted regarding radios… This will be a festival of geekdom, the likes of which the world seldom witnesses…

My journey from home to Charlotte: 1,187 miles.
My journey home from Wisconsin dells: 1,278 miles.
My total: 3,874 miles. (2,465 miles more than HRPT)

Jim… June 6, I’d like to hammer out a 14+ hour drive to your home, crash, and roll to Charlotte, June 7, in tandem with you.

Bill… When it’s over, I’d like to crash in K.C. with you, change oil, and hammer on home.

As PT begins in the south, NC in particular, let’s consider the motorsports history… There are likely some cool, old racetracks, speed shops, etc… Be nice to detour and catch a glimpse of some of some old school circle track venues… This notion is posted as such – a notion. We are a bunch of beyond middle age men. I am a decade older than Monkey Bill… I am a torn up, old, sonuvabitch. Cots? Floor? I don’t fucking think so! Let’s iron this shit out… I like the idea of one room / one man… This allows for freedom from aggravation, as it applies to the inevitable bowel movements, farting, nose picking, preferred lights out time, snoring, irritating habits, TV preferences, Music preferences, Tuck, No tuck, tourette syndrome outbusts, Thermostat setting, Jim’s thong, etc. In short, Though missing out on the camaraderie of roommates would be a shame, I am a grumpy prima-donna when it comes to my sleep. Subject me to just a few (let alone a week plus) six hour sleep nights and I’ll kill someone at the mid-point of Power Tour. Hence, I’m willing to pay the cost to be the boss! Please advise… perhaps I’m not seeing the whole picture. Saving $$ is nice too!
